DOSB:
Show Us Equal
Female athletes get 90% less coverage and attention in media with far reaching consequences:
Less revenue from sponsors. Less female role models for girls in youth sports. A distorted and sexualized image of women in sports and society as less competitive and less powerful.
With an open letter to the media and joined efforts of the community, DOSB challenges the press to finally pull up their socks too.
Agency: Kolle Rebbe
Year: 2021

Idea
An unequal pair of socks that symbolises the inequality representing the statistical serves as keyvisual for the movement. One, that everyone can slip on.

PACKAGING
The key visual of the initiative features two socks being worn at uneven heights as a symbol and demand for more equality in sports reporting. A simple and iconic symbol that can easily be replicated by anyone. The statistics are also consistently reflected in a specially designed packaging. The status quo on the outside, the aspired goal on the inside. We sent it out to the Team Germany athletes and several sport influencers.

FURTHER FACTS
During the campaign, other issue-related statistics and information about the disparity and its impact were posted on social media. They all worked with the elements of the key visual and kept the discussion going.
